Driving SafetyDriving Safety
If the vehicle detects the risk of a frontal collision has increased, such as when the vehicle in front suddenly slows down or a stationary vehicle, pedestrian, or cyclist appears in front, the system warns you and automatically assists with braking if necessary. It also assists with braking when a risk of collision with an oncoming vehicle is detected when turning at an intersection.

When you operate the turn signal switch to change lanes, a warning is issued if the vehicle detects an increased risk of collision with a vehicle in the rear. If the risk of a collision increases even after a warning, it automatically takes control of the vehicle to help avoid a collision. In addition, if a risk of collision with a vehicle from the rear is detected during forward exit from parallel parking, braking is automatically assisted.
